Scots often pride themselves on being careful with money and not being profligate with it, but debt is not something that is unknown in Scotland and many people do find that debt is something that starts to take hold of their lives and then can easily get out of control. If you consider that the average Scot owes something like £31,000 per head, then it becomes clear that debt is not something that happens to other people it can happen to anyone and everyone.

But the reality is that many people in Manchester are struggling to manage their debts, just as they are up and down the United Kingdom.
