Investing made easier by Moneyextra
September 10th, 2007
Make more of your investments and keep an eye on what's happening in the financial markets with Moneyextra's new and improved Investing section.
Moneyextra.com has revamped its "Investing" section to improve its tools and services and to help investors make more of their investments. Robin Amlôt, Senior Editor of Moneyextra, said, "It's been a wild summer ride for the stock market in the wake of the so-called 'credit crunch'. That means it is more important than ever for investors to keep an eye on their investments and make the most of the investment opportunities that arise.
"We've revised the log-in-page to our free portfolio management tool, making it simpler to check how your shares and funds are performing. What's more, you can download your portfolio to a csv file so you can manipulate the data in a spreadsheet on your own computer.
"Once you're in the Investing section, you're just one click away from what you want, thanks to revised navigation, highlighting Moneyextra's wealth of free content, including news, features, guides and tools."
Among the other changes Moneyextra has made:
- Dashboard - A new shares dashboard page highlights what's happening on the stock market today.
- Revised FTSE pages - New 'snippets' section showing risers, fallers and active stocks.
- Advanced Sorting - Re-sort your FTSE listings, just click on the
button! - Quick and easy graphing - Use the new clickable range of options for advanced share price graphing.
- New pages / New look - Use our new FTSE 350, Indices and Forex pages and view the Investing homepage for a fresher look and feel.
Moneyextra has around 30,000 active portfolio users, checking the value of their investments on a regular basis, absolutely free.
Online share dealing is growing in popularity. The number of online trades carried out in 2006 was up by more than a fifth on the previous year (Source: Compeer, UK Wealth Management Industry Report).
"We want to hear what people think about the changes we're making. Users can email feedback@moneyextra.com to tell us what they like or to suggest ways we can make our service even better."
