Standard Life launches online ISA

Standard Life launches online ISA
Standard Life has launched a new online stocks and shares ISA, aimed at simplifying investment and offering some of the best savings rates on the market.

The online ISA offers a full fund range, including the MyFolio range of risk-based portfolios, which covers five different risk levels.

Mark Till, director, Standard Life commented: "Our customer research indicates that while many people understand the tax efficiencies of stocks and shares ISAs and want to manage their investment online, they can often feel overwhelmed by the choice of investment funds on offer.

"Our new Stocks and Shares ISA provides customers with a simple and supportive online application process, but crucially it also offers access to ready-made investment strategies."

He added that people can assess how much risk they are comfortable taking on and chose an investment strategy to match.

To start one of the online ISAs, people need to make a regular payment of £50 a month, or a one-off £500 payment.
