Skipton wins Best Financial Adviser Award

Feedback from clients and financial institutions has led to Skipton Financial Services SFS being awarded the Best Financial Adviser Award at the Shares magazine.

Consumers who use the building society for its cheap mortgages and competitive savings interest rates can now feel even more confident that their finances are in the safest possible hands.

SFS saw off competition from five other financial advisers, Barclays Wealth, Close Wealth, St James' Place, Tenon Financial Services and Towry Law, to claim the award for the first time having been nominated in the previous two years.

Mark Fleet, managing director of Skipton Financial Services, commented: "Winning any award is something special but the most positive thing is that all the winners in the Shares Awards are selected by readers of the magazine, which include our clients."

The winners are decided by the votes of the readers of Shares magazine and Simon Keane, deputy editor of the magazine, said that the awards had attracted more than 6,000 votes this year.

Skipton has recently launched a number of savings and mortgage products which offer its customers very competitive rates and improved flexibility.
