Skipton expands savings range

Skipton expands savings range
Skipton Building Society is expanding its range of products to make it even easier for customers to access the best savings interest rates.

The new Telephone Saver Account, which pays up to 2.25 per cent on balances between £25,000 and £1 million, lets people manage their money at a time that is convenient to them.

Head of products, Kris Brewster, said: "Every customer is different and has different needs. And at Skipton our main aim in launching the Telephone Saver is to make it easier for customers who aren't within easy reach of our branches or comfortable transacting online, to handle their accounts."

This new launch is the first time Skipton has entered the telephone accounts market and the building society hopes it will compliment its current branch-based service and its flexible E-savings accounts.

Mr Brewster added that it is always better for people to have a range of medium and long term savings as this will help them achieve their savings goals.

The launch of the Skipton Telephone Saver Account comes just days after Which? revealed that Brits who don't have access to the internet often miss out on the best savings rates.
