Save money without having to cut back on your talking or texting

We are all trying to save money and make cutbacks wherever we can, especially after the expense of Christmas and with the promise of Summer Holidays on the horizon. While we always pay for the essentials it is often the treats and little luxuries that are forgotten or put to one side in favour of the important bills. The mobile phone can often be one of the things that are considered an expensive luxury - but it doesn't have to be, you may be able to get a new deal that could be much cheaper than what you are paying now.

There are two types of contract for those looking for a cheaper phone deal, the cashback redemption deals and the instant cashback deals, both of these offer a discount on your line rental giving you a cheaper price overall.

The redemption deals require you to claim the money back from the retailer at certain intervals over the contracted period. This could mean posting off bills 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 in order to receive 5 cheques for up to the full amount of your line rental. This type of deal will always give you the most amount of cashback as it requires you to do most of the legwork.

Then there are the Instant cashback deals which do not require you to do any legwork, as the cheque is sent out automatically after a set time on the contract. Of course as you aren't doing any of the work you will not get as much money as the redemption deal will give. As an approximate example you will be looking at around £100 less by Instant Cashback than on the same deal by Redemption.

So instead of thinking about cancelling that mobile phone why not have a look to see if you can simply get a better deal by switching to a different contract with some Cashback!
