Santander releases a new issue bond

Santander releases a new issue bond
Santander has released a new issue of its fixed-term bond which offers customers competitive savings interest rates.

New one and two-year fixed-rate bonds have been added to Santander's savings range, paying up to 3.55 per cent gross/AER.

Savers looking to invest under £50,000 for one-year will receive a competitive annual gross rate of 2.8 per cent, while customers investing over £50,000 will receive a higher rate of three per cent.

Reza Attar-Zadeh, director of Savings and Investments at Santander, said: "Our new range of competitive fixed rate bonds is ideal for those savers looking for a fixed annual or monthly return."

Two-year bond issues are offering savers investing less than £25,000 rates of 3.2 per cent and 3.55 per cent for people investing between £25,000 and £2 million.

The bank is also offering a range of two-year tracker bonds, which tracks any changes in the Bank of England base rate for 12 months.

Santander recently announced a number of changes to its comprehensive mortgage rates, reducing some rates by up to 0.16 per cent.
