Santander offers cheaper mortgage rates

Santander offers cheaper mortgage rates
Santander has announced a further reduction on its selection of mortgage rates to suit the needs of its customers.

Some fixed-rate and tracker mortgages will now be up to 0.24 per cent cheaper.

The company is offering a two-year fixed-rate mortgage, available at just 2.75 per cent for up to 60 per cent loan to value LTV with a fee of £1,995.

A four-year fixed-rate mortgage has been reduced to 4.75 per cent and up to 75 per cent LTV with a £995 fee; and a five year fixed-rate up to 70 per cent LTV has also been reduced to a 4.75 per cent rate.

Commenting on the reduced rates, a spokesperson for Santander said: "It's great news for borrowers that rates are coming down on fixed deals. Whether they're looking to remortgage or purchase a house".

The company also announced a range of new cheap mortgages available with no fees including a two year fixed-rate at 3.9 per cent for up to 75 per cent LTV and a two year tracker available at 3.09 per cent for up to 70 per cent LTV.

Skipton Building Society also announced today that it plans to release a new range of two and five-year fixed-rate mortgages.
