Principality offers savings account promising bonuses for a lifetime

Principality offers savings account promising bonuses for a lifetime
The Principality Building Society has launched a variable rate savings account that promises savers very competitive savings interest rates and a bonus year after year.

Principality's promise saver account pays a competitive savings interest rate of 2.30 per cent AER, inclusive of a 0.80 per cent bonus for the first year.

During the first year savers can make unlimited withdrawals and after 12 months two withdrawals per year will be rewarded with a fixed bonus of 0.50 per cent, payable on the core variable rate of 1.50 per cent AER.

Kate Murray, savings manager at Principality Building Society, said: "Savers will be looking at the bigger picture as they find their feet in the current climate. This account bridges the accessibility gap between long term fixed-rates and instant access accounts."

She added that the company's commitment to paying a bonus year after year offers dedicated savers peace of mind as they do not have to keep track of introductory offers.

Wales' largest Building Society recently launched a new mortgage range designed to support borrowers in the dilemma of choosing between a fixed-rate or tracker mortgage.
