Northern Rock launches new easy ISA

Northern Rock launches new easy ISA
Northern Rock has launched a new variable rate cash ISA offering customers competitive savings interest rates.

A minimum deposit of just £1 is needed to start the easy ISA which offers a variable rate of 2.5 per cent tax-free AER per annum.

The ISA is available exclusively through Northern Rock branches and customers can make transfers and deposits to and from the ISA in any Northern Rock branch.

Deposits to the easy ISA must remain within HM Revenue and Customs limits which were increased from £3,600 to £5,100 in April 2010.

The interest, which can be added to the account or paid into another account, is paid annually on the first business day following November 30th.

Charge free and notice free withdrawals can be made in branch from the account.

Northern Rock has also launched a new issue one year fixed-rate bond this week which offers some of the best savings interest rates on the market.
