Abbey Savings has launched its latest tranche of fixed-term savings accounts for customers looking for a guaranteed return on an amount of money they can lock away for a set time.
The Fixed Rate Bond range offers 1, 2 and 3-year options - rates on the 1-year deal coming in at 5.60% gross pa (£1 - £49,999) and 5.70% gross (£50,000+). Corresponding rates for the 2 and 3-year versions are 5.15% (£1+) and 4.75% (£1+). Net rates are 4.48%, 4.56%, 4.12% and 3.80%.
For those electing to take monthly income the corresponding rates are: 1-year 5.46% (4.37% net) and 5.56% (4.45%). For the 2 and 3-year offers rates are: 5.03% (4.03%) and 4.65% (3.72%).
Meanwhile, for people over 50 and who may be looking for a regular income from their savings, Abbey offers the 50+ Bond with a fixed term of 3 years and interest guaranteed at 4.80% gross pa (3.84% net). For monthly income the rate is 4.70% gross (3.76% net).
Finally, there is the Children's Saving Bond - this 4-year deal paying a fixed 4.80% gross pa (3.84% net).
