New homes market looks 'positive'

New homes market looks \'positive\'
Borrowers looking for the best mortgage rates when buying a new home will be interested to hear that the outlook for the new homes market is "positive", according to newhomesforsale.co.uk.

Vernon Pethard, managing director at the company, said that the new-build market is set to see the release of "many new developments".

He added: "The coalition government may be making some unpopular decisions, but there is a sense that problems that need tackling are being tackled."

Mr Pethard believes that there is a new degree of confidence for homebuyers when compared with the uncertainties which abounded prior to the election.

The comments follow projections from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Rics, which estimated that house prices will fall by two per cent in 2011.

However, the organisation predicted that by the end of the year, prices could be edging up again, with the result that they may not be very different from where they currently stand.
