Nationwide launches new online savings rate

Nationwide launches new online savings rate
Nationwide Building Society is strengthening its online savings portfolio by raising the bonus rate on its recently launched MySave Online Plus to ensure savers get the best savings interest rates on the market.

The bonus rate paid on the account will increase by 0.35 per cent to 1.45 per cent per annum, bringing the overall rate paid on the account to a market leading 2.95 per cent.

Nationwide's MySave Online Plus is available to anyone in the UK with an account that accepts direct debits.

Robin Bailey, Nationwide's director for savings, said: "In this current low interest rate environment, we are pleased to offer an account which compared to other similar ones available, offers the best rate in the market."

The account is quick and easy to open and is done with a minimum opening balance of £1,000 and maximum investment of £3 million.

Skipton Building Society recently launched a new range of online bonds, offering a variety of competitive savings interest rates for customers.
