Nationwide introduces 'fee-friendly' remortgage deals

Nationwide introduces \'fee-friendly\' remortgage deals
Nationwide has announced a range of measures designed to support remortgage customers.

Remortgage customers can now choose from two, three and five-year fixed-rate 'fee-friendly' deals offering competitive mortgage rates, free from standard valuation and legal fees, with a booking fee of just £99.

Selected fixed-rates will also be reduced by up to 0.30 per cent across the lenders remortgage and house purchase products.

Andy McQueen, divisional director for mortgages at Nationwide, said: "For many customers our 'fee-friendly' approach will mean the difference between being able to get the deal they want or being forced to stay put just because they can't afford the upfront costs."

The company's three-year fix is available at a rate of 4.09 per cent up to 70 per cent loan to value LTV, while the five-year fix is available at 4.69 per cent for the same LTV.

New customers can also access the 'fee friendly' range and can borrow up to 85 per cent LTV.

Earlier this month Leeds Building Society declared that five-year fixed-rate mortgages offer customers many benefits due to the ongoing economic uncertainty in the UK.
