N&P launches easy-access online account

N&P launches easy-access online account
Norwich & Peterborough Building Society N&P has introduced the third issue of its E-Saver account, which currently pays 2.55 per cent in interest.

The savings account has a standard variable interest rate of one per cent, with a 1.55 per cent bonus to be paid on the first anniversary of the account opening.

A major benefit for consumers is that withdrawals are allowed at any time without penalty, providing the account balance remains above £1.

The E-Saver Issue 3 can be opened online, with the opening balance transferred in via the internet or mailed in by post.

Gary Lacey, N&P's savings product manager, commented: "Our previous two issues of E-Saver have been very popular and we expect this one to be the same.

"With easy access at a current rate of 2.55 per cent gross, it's a great rate for just a minimum investment of £1, and helps us attract new customers to the society."

For savers looking to invest more in a cash account, Skipton International recently launched a two-year bond paying 3.5 per cent on a minimum deposit of £10,000.ADNFCR-2088-ID-19618123-ADNFCR
