N&P increases rate of 1-yr bond and e-bond

N&P increases rate of 1-yr bond and e-bond
Norwich and Peterborough Building Society N&P has increased the savings interest rates on its one-year fixed-rate bond and one-year e-bond.

The bonds will now offer a fixed-rate of three per cent gross AER 2.40 per cent net for investments between £1,000 and £1 million.

Norwich and Peterborough's e-bond can be opened online with the initial balance paid electronically or by post by printing an application from the N&P website.

The e-bond is open to new and existing customers with an initial investment of £1,000, but funds must be new money to the Society.

Gary Lacey, N&P's savings product manager, explained: "This increase in interest rate on our one-year bonds is good news for savers."

"Christmas is just around the corner, but for those savers who are particularly organised, they can open a one-year fixed-rate bond or e-bond now, and this will ensure they have a bumper Christmas in 2011," he added.

N&P recently unveiled a number of improved mortgage rates further demonstrating its commitment to offering its customers the best deals on the market.
