Mortgages - Nationwide ups rates

Nationwide Building Society has announced an increase in rates on its range of fixed rate and tracker mortgages - effective May 16th.

The new rates are: Home Mover range - 2-year fix with £499 fee from: 5.58%, 2-year fix no fee from: 5.98%; 2-year fix with £999 fee from: 5.43%; 3-year fix with £499 fee from: 5.78%; 5-year fix with £499 fee from: 5.58%; 10-year fix with £499 fee from: 5.58% and 2-year tracker with £1,999 fee from: 4.59%.

For those looking to remortgage or take out additional borrowing, new rates are: 2-year fix with £499 fee from: 5.73%; 2-year fix no fee from: 6.13%; 2-year fix with £999 fee from: 5.58%; 3-year fix with £499 fee from: 5.93%; 5-year fix with £499 fee from: 5.73% and 10-year fix with £499 fee from: 5.73%.

Existing Nationwide mortgage customers get a £100 discount off their reservation fee when they switch from one Nationwide product to another, buy a new home or borrow additional monies.
