Mortgage rates reduced at Yorkshire
Yorkshire Building Society has again reduced its first-time buyer
mortgage rates to a very competitive 5.59 per cent.
The two-year fixed-rate mortgage is available to first-time buyers who are able to put down a ten per cent deposit and has a number of added features to help with costs.
There is a free standard valuation service, free legal service and £500 cashback with the option of adding free home insurance at a rate of just 5.69 per cent also available.
Chris Smith, senior product manager at the Yorkshire, said: "We're very aware of the difficulties first time buyers face getting onto the property ladder. As a national building society, our aim is to help people to own a home."
Yorkshire reports that since refreshing its range of first-time buyer mortgage products in June, there's been a surge in demand.
The number of people with smaller deposits that Yorkshire Building Society has helped onto the property ladder has doubled month on month.
Yorkshire Building Society is the second largest building society and incorporates the Chelsea Building Society and Barnsley Building Society brands.
