More Brits seeking cheap mortgage advice
More people in the UK are seeking out professional advice about how to get the best
mortgage rates for the first time.
According to a poll by Kensington, of 617 mortgage intermediaries, one in five claimed that over half of their clients in the last three months were talking to a mortgage adviser for the first time.
Furthermore, over a third of respondents claimed that between a quarter and half of their clients in the last quarter had never previously spoken to a professional about
cheap mortgages.
"More borrowers are recognising the benefits of professional advice, both in terms of helping them to make the right decision, but also in accessing lenders that are able to offer intelligent lending," Charles Morley, head of sales at Kensington, explained.
Meanwhile, research by the Council of Mortgage Lenders revealed that people in Scotland have found it easier to obtain cheap mortgages than their English counterparts.
