Market research award for insurer Aviva

Market research award for insurer Aviva
Car insurance provider Aviva has won the 2009 Market Research Society Award in the Financial Services category.

The firm, which offers a variety of cover products across different sectors, has been recognised for its progressive approach to gathering information, which involves using "cutting edge techniques" to discover consumer trends.

According to the awarding body, the firm's studies have enabled it to offer consumers the products they desire "with messages they can easily understand".

David Barral, chief operating officer at the insurer, commented: "Aviva has increased its understanding of customer needs and attitudes, both financial and non-financial.

"At Aviva, [research is] seen as a blueprint for change and to help us become the company that's most recommended by customers, so I'm delighted that our innovative approach has been recognised by the Market Research Society."

The firm is currently offering 12 months' car insurance for the price of ten to drivers with four years' no claims bonuses.ADNFCR-2088-ID-19570332-ADNFCR
