Markets rose last week showing resilience on Friday when the U.S non-farm payroll figures fell more than expected. The pace of the U.S recovery weights on sentiment with many economists and analyst anticipating further stimulus from the Federal Reserve as the dollar weakens.
Base rates in UK and Europe were held at 0.5% and 1% respectively.
The UK’s FTSE All Share opened the week at 2738.21, closing up 1.20% at 2771.20.
In the U.S, the Dow opened the week at 10468.82, closing up 1.90% at 10668.55.
The Nikkei opened the week at 9574.64, closing down -0.15% at 9560.65.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng opened the week at 21221.43, closing up 1.67% at 21575.95.
