Lloyds TSB Scotland launches lowest ever three-year fix

Lloyds TSB Scotland has introduced a new three-year fixed-rate mortgage available for first-time buyers, house purchasers and remortgagers.

To gain access to the best mortgage rates of 3.99 per cent borrowers must put down a minimum 30 per cent deposit, which means the deal is available to most home movers as Council of Mortgage Lenders figures revealed that the average deposit is 33 per cent.

Carol Anderson, head of mortgages at Lloyds TSB Scotland, said: "We're committed to offering our customers flexible and competitive products and to support homebuyers we're also providing a free legal service on all mortgage applications for home purchases made throughout October."

The bank believes that if borrowers take advantage of the free legal fees during October they could save up to £550 on their purchase.

Lloyds TSB Scotland also offers a Home Harmony service, which provides access to a dedicated telephone helpline and website with details of trusted local services and tradespeople.
