Leeds launches market-leading 1-yr fixed-rate ISA

Leeds launches market-leading 1-yr fixed-rate ISA
Leeds Building Society has launched a new market-leading one-year fixed-rate ISA, which offers customers its best savings rates.

The ISA will pay three per cent over the one-year fixed-term while also providing customers the flexibility and peace of mind that comes with access to 25 per cent of the funds.

A saver's funds can be accessed without notice or penalty at any time, which is unusual for a fixed-rate savings deal.

Kim Rebecchi, Leeds Building Society's sales and marketing director, said: "This market-leading three per cent rate offers and excellent home for those customers who have not yet used their £5,100 ISA allowance in the 2010/11 tax year."

She urged savers to use their full allowance during each tax window if they possibly can, as if it is not used then it is gone forever.

Leeds Building Society recently revealed that although 41 per cent of adults were recorded as having an ISA product in April 2010, the number of accounts subscribed to fell by two per cent compared to the previous tax year.
