Kwik-Fit releases shocking car maintenance calendar

Kwik-Fit releases shocking car maintenance calendar
Motor repair firm Kwik-Fit has published a shocking calendar of un-roadworthy tyres.

The company, which constantly promotes the cost and safety benefits of car maintenance, has revealed some of the most dangerous tyres it has come across in the past year in its annual Tyre Wall of Shame calendar.

Featuring 12 images of tyres that are worse for wear, the calendar is a warning to motorists who do not take vehicle maintenance seriously.

David White, customer services director at Kwik-Fit, said: "People shouldn't forget the importance of their tyres - they are literally what keep their cars on the road.

"Checking them regularly is one of the most important safety measures drivers can take."

He concluded that, worryingly, Kwik-Fit could have filled many more calendars with images of dangerous tyres.

Recently, independent dealer network Protyre warned motorists of the dangers of 'kerbing', which can lead to wheel misalignment.ADNFCR-2088-ID-19554584-ADNFCR
