If you’re strapped for cash but still fancy your chances at winning the lottery, a new cash-back website could provide the answer to your problems.
By shopping on the freenationallotterytickets.co.uk website, users build up a series of cash-back balances when they buy goods and services.
These balances transfer to lottery points which can then be used to buy lottery tickets for Lotto and Euromillions draws. The only catch is that users can’t use their own numbers and are allocated a ticket.
However, users can still benefit from being able to get more tickets for less. For example, if you were to place your online shopping order at Tesco through the website you would earn 2,000 points. 1,000 points is enough to buy you a £1 lottery ticket.
The site offers 24,000 points enough for 24 tickets if you were to take out an 02 mobile broadband contract. Other deals include earning up to 40,000 lottery points if you were to purchase your first Sky HD package.
Players can also buy a share of syndicated tickets for as little as 10 points, however, winnings would be shared with 99 other players.
If your ticket does win a lottery prize you would receive the full amount and the website is not associated or connected with the National Lottery. However, you do have to be over the age of 16 to join.
Ian Lowe, the Managing Director of Wincot Media, which owns the site, said; "Unfortunately we don't have any secret magic formula for selecting our lottery ticket numbers, but it's no secret that you have to be in it to win it, so we're all keeping our fingers crossed that one of our members' tickets wins them a jackpot."
This is not the only way of making money from your spending. Topcashback.co.uk offers a percentage back when ordering through their website. For example, they are offering £12.12 for people doing their online shopping at Asda.
