Debt worries 'can provoke chronic stress'
Worries about debt can provoke chronic stress, those looking into the best loan rates available have been told.
Dan Roberts, a member of the Association for Coaching and Stress Management Society and a highly-experienced therapist, said that when people are faced with seemingly insurmountable debt it can put a great deal of pressure on them.
"The thing about debt is it's chronic stress, day in day out - a trickle effect that doesn't really go away. It's not something that happens then stops, I think people can find that really difficult - it can be really damaging," he explained.
In the current climate, it is easier than ever before to encounter debt problems and financial stress, Mr Roberts added.
His view was supported by Joanne Mallon, life and career coach.
She said that worrying in general, be it about finding the best loan rates, debts or anything else, is one of the biggest drainers of energy that people can face.
