Coventry launches new postal account version

Coventry launches new postal account version
Coventry Building Society has launched the fifth issue of its popular 1st Class Postal account.

The product offers a market-leading rate for savers together with the flexibility of easy postal access.

With a best-buy return of three per cent gross, 1st Class Postal 5 is a variable-rate, easy-access postal savings account which allows four penalty-free withdrawals each year.

Colin Franklin, sales and marketing director at Coventry, said that with the Bank base rate still at an unprecedented low level, savers will be looking for "the best possible return on their funds without having to sacrifice access".

"Our 1st Class Postal is the perfect solution. We predict it will be very popular so savers should act quickly to avoid missing out," he commented.

Earlier this week, Skipton International launched a six-month bond paying 2.26 per cent AER or 2.17 per cent AER as a monthly income option.ADNFCR-2088-ID-19777949-ADNFCR
