Brits would raid their savings to fulfil their lifetime dreams

Brits would raid their savings to fulfil their lifetime dreams
Brits are willing to raid their accounts offering the best interest rates in order to pay for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A new poll by Scottish Widows revealed that 3.2 million people are willing to sacrifice a month's salary to fulfil their ambitions.

Of the 86 per cent of Brits harbouring fantasies for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, almost half would stretch their finances as far as possible in order to achieve it, with a further 13 per cent happy to spend as much as it takes.

Roger Black MBE, Scottish Widows Ambassador for the London 2012 Games, and Olympic medal winner, said: "A once-in-a-lifetime experience is something to aim for and can be very motivating … It goes to show we can achieve our dreams, if we're willing to commit enough time and effort."

Meanwhile, those seeking the best savings interest rates may be interested to learn that Norwich and Peterborough Building Society has raised the return on fixed-rate bonds.ADNFCR-2088-ID-800601904-ADNFCR
