What’s the likelihood of Brits winning the EuroMillions lottery on three occasions in the space of one month?
Well, it could be you… especially if you live in Nottinghamshire.
A young couple from Stapleford, Nottinghamshire who won a staggering £45 million in the EuroMillions last week, became the second British winners to scoop up over £40 million within the last three weeks.
22 year old couple Cassey Carrington and Matt Topham played online and won a grand total of £45,160,170.50.
They plan on spending the cash on their wedding later this year, fulfilling their career dreams of becoming an architect and electrician, as well as replacing their broken washing machine.
Gareth and Catherine Bull, who live just a 30-minute drive away in Mansfield, collected a £40 million win just two weeks before.
Whilst there’s only so much champagne you can drink – how exactly do you think you would spend £45 million?
1. Buy a fancy car
If you’re feeling flash and you like Ferraris, then one way to blow £20.2 million of your winnings could involve purchasing a vintage 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO.
Only 39 of them were ever made, between 1962 and 1963. The classic car comes with a high price tag and at just over £20 million it is officially the world’s second most expensive car.
The world’s most expensive car ever sold was the 1963 Bugatti Type 575c, which was sold for over £25 million in 2010.
2. Buy a footballer player
These boys do not come cheap. However, if you are a Premier League manager with a generous chairman you could look to fork out up to £40 million on the ‘right player.’
3. Buy a big house in the city
If you have £45 million in your back pocket, head to Billionaires Row in London for a swanky £40 million pad in Bishops Avenue, Hampstead Heath. Your neighbours would include rich Sultans and members of the Saudi Royal family.
