Nationwide Building Society has expanded the range of products that can be covered under extended warranty insurance and provided free of charge with its credit cards.
The new definition of cover includes electrical items such as iPod/MP3 players/MP4 players, DAB Radios, Camcorder with hard drive, DVD with hard drive, iPod docking stations, Portable DVD players, Home Cinema Systems and Freeview boxes - which were not previously included.
Items such as washing machines, fridges, ovens, dishwashers and televisions continue to be covered.
By simply registering a new purchase, people get 1 year's free warranty on top of the existing manufacturer's warranty of up to 2 years - giving them up to 3 years' free warranty in total on a broad range of products.
