Halifax Home Insurance has announced the launch of a 'beat and freeze' insurance offer. There are two main elements to the deal - the first being that Halifax will aim to beat any competitor's renewal quote. Research of new customers moving their policy to Halifax, has shown that Halifax beats renewal quotes by an average of £105, claims the insurer.
Meanwhile, for customers who've moved their home insurance to Halifax, the annual premium will then remain at the same price for a fixed period of 3 years (through 2010). After this initial period, customers will be free to renew their Halifax home insurance in the usual way.
If a claim is made during the 3 year freeze period, then the annual premium will be reviewed at the policy's usual annual renewal anniversary.
Existing Halifax customers will be able to apply to freeze their annual premium for three years at renewal.
