Title deeds represent deeds and other legal documents which prove the ownership of a freehold or leasehold property.
You will usually find that they include every deed transferring ownership of the property during the last 30 years.
If the property is registered at the Land Registry, a Land Certificate replaces the title-deeds. If there is a mortgage, the Land Certificate is replaced by a Charge Certificate.
