FSA: The Financial Services Authority (FSA)

The Financial Services Authority is the independent watchdog set up by the government under the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000 to regulate financial services in the UK. The FSA regulates all the investment business in the UK. Recognition as an investment exchange or clearing house under theFinancial Services and Markets Act 2000 enables the body concerned to carryout investment business in the UK.
