Nasdaq Europe

Nasdaq acquired EASDAQ in March to create Nasdaq Europe. This Brussels-based Pan-European stockmarket was set up in November 1996 along similar lines to NASDAQ in the USA (the similarity of name is no co-incidence).

Nasdaq Europe has got off to a quiet start - the first company to be listed was 'Dr Solomon's', a software company which specializes in providing anti-virus programs for personal computers.

All stocks on Nasdaq Europe are quoted in US dollars.
