ISA limits
Updated May 2004
The government has decided to allow all the medium-term stakeholder products that will be launched by April 2005 to be held within the stocks and shares part of your ISA investments. These planned products including unit-linked investments unit-linked insurance and smoothed stakeholder products will all be deemed to be qualifying investments for the ISA stocks and shares component this means you can put them in an ISA.
At the same time all non-stakeholder life insurance will be brought into the ISA stocks and shares component in 2005 and the current £1000 ISA insurance component will be dropped.
