Head and Shoulders

Additional Services

Head and shoulders is a term used in technical analysis by chartists to describe a particular pattern of price movement.

The pattern is said to resemble a person's head and shoulders - a level period followed by a sharp rise, maintained briefly, before falling back to another plateau.

Chartists believe that a head and shoulders formation heralds a significant fall in the price of a security.
