It offers 0% on balance transfers for a period of up to 13 months - although like many other credit card providers now, egg will issue a balance transfer fee of 3% of the outstanding balance.
Egg's credit card is also effectively an interest-free credit card for the first half of the year as it offers a 0% interest rate for 5 months.
Egg can also run special anniversary offers. So, exactly a year after applying for your credit card, borrowers will have access to a 0% rate on balance transfers for the next five months.
The rate of interest on the credit, when it does become payable, is variable.
